I got this at an auction in Brisbane yesterday, picked it up today. K4 GSXR1000, 7000km, from what i can see, no frame damage, no engine damage, no suspension or wheel damage. Lots of cosmetic damage.

You'd only say sheap if you were planning to make a profit from someone on here. If you're not, let us know mate as that's a top find. How many bikes did you get to check out and what was the average state and price?

Nah mate im not intending to sell it for a profit or sell it at all. I ended up paying $1200 + $167.20 in fees. But i originally bid to $2200 when i won the auction. I paid a $100.00 deposit but the bloke who wrote the receipt put down i paid $1000 deposit. When i went to pick it up yesterday the balance of the sale was $1100 + $167.20 for fees. I told the girl that it wasnt right but she insisted thats all i had to pay. Lucky me i suppose. Anyway here are a few other prices people paid.

99 triumph sprint rs (light cosmetic damage only) $3000
98 cbr1000f (a bit rough no damage) $1300
07 cbr125 (cosmetic damage) $1000
07 bandit (light cosmetic damage) $4750
03 ttr250 (really not much damage at all) $1200
05 gsxr1000 (stat write off) $2100
04 z1000 ( really light damage) $3500
00 duc monster 750 ( the bloke rode it home) $2200
00 900ss (cosmetic damage) $3900
02 gsx1400 (cosmetic damage) $2400
06 vl800 (bent forks and other light damage) $2200
03 daytona (pretty good really) $300
01 Busa (cosmetic damage but not too bad) $3800
08 zx1400 (only done 140km easy repair) $6250
07 z1000 (forks and wheel fucked but the rest good) $2250
04 rsv1000r (cosmetic damage only ) $2800 (buy of the day)
These are the ones i can remember i wrote down the price of all the bikes sold (about 113 all up i think)

There were 2 14s there Des but 1 was pulled before the auction started (something to do with the insurance company) but its in the next auction.

Did a bit of stuff tonight, replaced a little plastic thingy bit, now radial brakes work perfect (cost $9.90 from Suzuki) Removed radiator for small repair, removed secondry throttle blades and mechanism (for the drags and was damaged anyway) Next is to replace split throttle body inlet rubber and find a L/H side rearset.

I dont think the damage looks too bad.

Judging by the distance from the garage door to the first
expansion joint i'd probabley question how thick the concrete
is or how much mesh / reo is in it though....;)

Ohhhhhhhh..... the bike not the driveway....[:o)]

Very Nice. Bloody good price.
When I saw the Kat up for sale I thought you'd come home with the 01 Busa.

Have you rode a 1000 much ?
I managed to try a couple (Bri off this site and BB did a trade on a ride with his)
Very different to the Bus, but F@rk! They go OK when you put some rev's on them !!!

Darn

Anything you have would be helpful mate. All i have at the moment is the bike as it sits in the last pic and the airbox.
