Walked into a gold mine today!

I had a client to visit in Loganholme (QLD) and while in his factory he said "You like bikes don't you? Come and see my mate" - so off we went a few doors down. Here I met Nic Comolly - a highly skilled, bike mad engineer who thinks Hardley Ableson is a swear word.

He had a whole heaps of project bikes lying around including a highly modified Katana running Busa gear, some cafe racers and also he was straightening a late model R1 by the looks of things.

When I asked him who's it was he said it was for a mate who imports bikes direct from japan to go to auctions, so he gets to pick from all the good stuff before it goes to the general joe. Gold!

The workshop was fully kitted out and he was familiar with Ben's builds.

I'm going to give him a proper advert somewhere on the site, but for now, here is some of his blurb:

He is the guy who has done both of my GSXR top triple clamp drilling and making big alloy plate/washer thingy's for underneath. He's a really nice guy into the bargain.

It's in early stages mate, I just saw all the parts ready to go in and the rolling chassis.

I'm surprised so many of you knew about him and I didn't! You lot keeping it a secret or what!? He will custom fabricate any parts and is basically the same set up as Extreme Creations (before they go balistic soon).

Excellent Si nice work... Im always looking at motorcycledsposals.com.au and wondering what might be involved in fixing some of the ones with fairly minor shit like bent sub frames... seems like that price list answerd most of my questions... Cheers normal sized ears.

Have had Nick do some work for me. Checked out the frame and swingarm alignment/straightness on the 89 RR. He's quick and straightforward to deal with. He's a Pommie and has been around the industry for quite a number of years both in the old country and here. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any work you need done.

Hey Chris, just tried ringing him on both lines but he's engaged. His card doesn't have an email address on it mate so give him a call sometime and see if you can get it. Otherwise try and direct him to this post I guess?

I read this thread a couple of weeks ago.
My 05 zx636 was in need of straightening & welding, my front rim was Badly buckled & one of the race stand spools was bent and the weld had come away from the swingarm.
So after reading this thread i gave Nic a call, within three days i had the bike up at NICCOM ENGINEERING And having picked it up today a week later , I felt i had to write to you guys about what an awesome job Nic has done on this bike, what great service hes provided me and what a great price it was for the huge amount of work Nic did to get my bike straight and welded up
Thanks
Matt

Nic did my frame for me,widened it 20mm machined and fitted new and much stronger bushes for the swingarm pin, also did the shocky mount to fit the hayabusa rear end in. He also pressed out the pin on my tripple clamp's machined up and fitted the new one to fit the busa front end to the bandit. He's not the cheapest in the game but his work is excellent...10 outta 10 for me.
the mod's can be much better seen on my banbusa thread to check his workmanship.
