Gsxr 1100 spark plugs

Ok this is one of those times where i should just not say anything.... but as stupid as it sounds i need to know. [:o)]

Is there any trick to getting the spark plugs out of a 91 gsxr 1100, cause the spark plug socket (5/8th) i have doesnt seem to fit over the spark plug and the bigger size socket (13/16th) wont even go half way down the hole.

Need to chuck some new ones in before the week end.

buy one of those cheap tube spanners for a few $$ from repco/autoslum

thanks large, rod.... he he i just read that back to myself, im so childish.

That would be my problem then, i didnt want to start grinding down the outside of sockets to make something fit, muchly appreciated.
