G'day Guys,
Long story short i have to rebuild the internals of my can because its absolutley rooted in there and i need it to pass a vicroads inspection (noise test)
im planning on getting some perferated core and welding it to the pipe which connects to the end piece and somehow making it fit snugly into the inlet pipe (2" outside diameter)
the original (rooted) bit of perf core was about 1 1/2".
the place that i could actually find perf core from (and cheap) only has 1 5/8" and 2" ( i was originally hoping for around 1 3/4")
would you suggest going the 2" or 1 5/8" ?. the 2" would obviously fit better, but it may be a fair bit of overkill and i assume it would be louder. 1 5/8" i guess would be quieter but may require a little more fiddling to fit.
would the difference in pipe core size make much difference to performance ???? back pressure??
BTW its for my Suzuki DR 800 (big single)
