Just wondering if anyone would be up to doing a paint tutorial on using cling wrap (or similar) to get that cool effect? OzFighter's paint looks awesome.

Cammy9r explained it briefy in the crystal solution thread http://www.streetfighters.com.au/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4537 but I was hoping someone could go into more detail on technique (with pics please)! [8)]

If you can find a old edition of "Custom painting techniques" it has all the old 70's style of trick paint finishes and shows you how to do it. Not sure if the "new" versions have it, it's an American book.

I made my own crystal solution, it kinda worked. i never got to test it properly, i just did a test on a shitbox car going to the dump, and a rattle can.

Gday Moto, don't know if this is what your after, but all i did was paint the base colour [black] and gave it ten minutes to tack off. Then layed out some cling wrap out on the bench and gave it a light coat of silver. After that you very lightly lay the cling wrap over the job being very careful not to move the cling wrap. The bits that touch the part will transfer the paint on to the part and the air bubbles won't.It would probably pay to have a couple of pratice go's on an old part if you have one. I hope this helps in some way.;)

Hey Timbo, on average how long do you wait until removing the cling wrap?
