View Full Version : whats needed to swap out clip ons to straight bars

Gday all

im thinking of making my fzr into a fighter, im sure that there are no aftermarket parts for my bike but i can fab up something hopefully, im looking at how i get rid of the clipon bars and throw some tags or similar on there. i guess il need a custom upper tripple clamp? any advice would be tops cheers

welcome aboard mate alot of the blokes round here just drill the top triple clamp and that seems to work fine as long as its done properly by that i mean you should make sure to add something on the under side of your triple like some large washers of some sort to give it more strength if you know what i mean

i did my own....i bought mine from the local bike shop. drilled and tapped the holes and cut off the ignition switch. the hole thing only cost $60

Do NOT drink and drill your top clamp.......It's embarrassing.

Why drink beer when you can use it to cool down the drill bit and metal your drilling into lol....
