oil line/ exhaust header clearance?

I have about 8mm clearance between my oil lines(with the 4mm foam tube overlay on) and my exhaust headers on my 88 750. Is this enough? I assume they are ok as long as they are not touching but just want to be sure. been looking at photos the clearances seem really small too.

Davo has braided lines on his but they actual touch the headers. Mine are braided also and they are about 10mm away but occasional touch at high speeds. After 3 years I've had no problem. As for the foam tube overlay? - Well I couldn't tell you. Anybody else familiar?

I had braided lines that touched the headers... I took off from the lights, and all of a sudden the back wheel lets go, and smoke is everywhere. The line tore, and sprayed oil onto the hot engine, and all over the back wheel.
The new lines are about 5mm away, and seem ok.

Thats why i'm paranoid, same thing happened at 100km. I mangaed to hold it together but it was messy.

My braided lines touch the headers and i havnt had a problem .. but it is on the list of things to fix
