Check for hidden bolts before you get too carried away.
Air cooled Suzukis have ONE on the underside of the head at the front.

Zuki's must be tough...Your motor could handle Tk,Deano and the boyz grappling with it...

I've got the barrels up about 2" (with the head still stuck)..hoped that I could 'tap' it loose with me rubber hammer as the is no part of the stud in the head now..

Oh and yep, all the bolts are out, inc the 4 lil' ones.

mate, the timming chain is still connected.

Ah but hold on,it doesn't run timming or a chain does it?

Dropped the barrels back down onto the pistons (mangaged to remove the rings first ;)) and got a 1mm gap between head and barrels using lil' wooden wedges.
Soaked it in wd40 and will wedge again tomoro.....I broke a fin on the 11 motor.:(.don't wanna do that to this one.

time to sacrifice your oven, nuthin wrong with rubber tastin food for the next 9 weeks.CRC is the fourth best release agent i've ever used(the best is some shit in a gold can developed by the CSIRO and only available to government departments, but you can seriously watch it eat rust and turn it into hard chrome in 30 seconds). But this is a free running engine yeah? just a good sign its never been split before. Warm it mate.

FINALLY got the head off......
Got the barrels up about 60mm and supported them on wood. This allowed me to undo the 4 inner studs which (due to some muppet in japland) are open to the elements and rust into the holes.
Lots of wooden wedges and 'pop' it was free....
Now to get the barrels off:(
Gonna look at h/d duty ape studs as mine could all do with replacing anyway....Just in case I get playful with the 'induction' later [}:)]
