Can my steering lock and engine cover be welded?

Well long story short, my ambition exceeded my ability today attempting stand up burnouts. Can the steering lock stop (small crack) and signal generator cover? (the one in front of the oil window cover) be tig welded? Bike is a 91 gsxr 1100.

Any idea how much a new cover is worth from suzuki or elsewhere?

Need to get it fixed up by the 19th for a track day

they can be welded just got to be clean before you start. they didn't go to mag covers till 94 mod so you are safe there

Shouldn't be a problem.

My Busa frames been welded up, and I know
to a GSXR frame thats had similar work.

Just be fussy who does it.
