Does anyone know if i can buy a chain in an extended length? I need one for my GSXR to suit a 12in over length swingarm.

I reckon it's a two chain graft for you mate. Bugger! Actually that's bullshit. Looks like you can get cut to order: http://www.ekchain.com/drag.htm

I buy chain in 10 ft lengths from bearing suppliers.
Maybe they could supply you a chain, I don't know what the story is with speed ratings though. But chain is chain I reckon.

Well it is until it tears half your gearbox out as it exits the motorcycle at high speed.

Tsubaki sell chain by the 150 link box for ~$100 , don't worry about bike chain just check the tensile strength! HQR 530 will equal most 630 chain for strength and have no power robbing "O"rings. ;)

HOW LONG [:0] hope you have a good tire.:D

then what booster said, a good quilaty industrial chain would be more than adequite for the job and a lot cheaper than bike chains, just make sure that you keep it well lubed and check it for wear after every meet ( guess i'm not telling you anything new, thought )

thats some serious bling there oz, looks very well made i like them alot.

how much weight percentage on the rear wheel are you going to loose by moving the rear wheel so far back, ie are you still going to have enough weight on it to get traction

What about the rear shock ? Does the extra leverage mean you're supposed to revalve or re spring ?
I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

I was thinking of a long-un for mine but I was only thinking four inches, not a whole fucking foot !!!

I'm having traction troubles with +4 on my racebike, turbo streeter nearly matches the mph because of traction ,local track has nowhere near the surface of Willowbank though.

Suppose if you have problems just get a better tire and set the front for better weight transfer.

Rocket.... no rear shock using adjustable strut instead.
Booster... will be using a Shinko drag tyre to start with if thats not right ill go M/T, Willowbank is rather sticky, it tore the sole off papa smurfs boot a couple of weeks ago when he was giving me a hand.

Once i get things sorted ( swingarm, tyre, exhaust etc)and my starts right high 9s should be shouldnt be unobtainable. After that ill look at air shifters and different carbies.

Yeah mate that was my bike, running like crap, too rich, dirty airfilter, standard 40mm carbs and airbox etc. Still made 147hp tho. I have different (secret) cams thanks to devo, ill have them installed before bike week, so im hoping for a small improvement in hp. As for carbs im hoping to find a good s/hand set of 41 FCRs, or maybe a set of 40-44mm lectrons. Id prefer the FCRs simpily because i may use it on the street a couple of times a year.

Do they have a dyno again at Bike week? Make sure you post up when you are going down there, I wouldn't mind checking it out....

r1 we will be there for 3 days (its a long weekend down here on the Gold Coast) Si has booked the space and we will be having a stand at bike week. 1st 2nd 3rd of September. Some of us will have our bikes on display + there will be Tshirts, hats, stubby holders, stickers etc for sale. Oh yeah the dyno will be there too. I hope my bike still fits on the dyno.
