Hi,

Itīs an neverending story but for the first time my GPZ 900 ist built up complete (the finsih is still to come ;)

So, the basic ist GPZ 900 anno 1985 (but itīs just only the frame and some other parts)

But itīs an GPZ 1100 Horizont Motor inside, the carburator ist in the moment ZRX 1100 but a mikuni RS38 is in the pipeline.

Fork: ZX9 with WP Suspension, Front Tire and Brakingdisks BMW R 1100 S, Back Tire: Zender (Car Customizing). Swingarm VFR 800. tank is an alu from PSS.

Tail ist from GEMO (Destroyer) with included LEDīs, Exhaust: Supertrapp.

There are a lot of other details - but you know...

Regards, Erik

Once that thing is painted it's going to look chunky and staunch. Love it mate. Nice work. Chalky, this should give you some ideas mate. It looks that fat and it's still running RWU forks!

Looking Good there Punisher, what color/scheme you gonna paint her?

What shock are you running? Currently looking around for a rear replacement for mine (an 85' as well). Just replaced the motor ($500 aus) and the replacement seems to be a good one, but only hard miles will prove it.

What ya mean by this mate? Are you using parts from the 90's GPz1100? And what is the tank from?

Hi,

the colour will be permutt-white with green and blue stripes (old-scool-racer).

i used a zx 9 fork with white power shock in front an the original showa shock from the vfr 800 rear.

the motor is from an 96er GPZ 1100 (a tourer), itīs the same body as the 900er 1000rx and zzr (even zrx) motors only the front attachment is another. the motor has 125 hp an 1049 ccm.

thanx.

it isnīt really difficult to fit the swingarm in the gpz frame. you only have to choose the VFR 800, `cause this swingarm is open.

you have to diplace the footbegs, need 2 distances and a new alternation (i hope thes are the right words in english;) an ca. 150 hours endurance:D;)

Used to see a lot of those bars in the late 70's & 80's, mainly on Kwaka's. They were the quickest and cheapest way of fitting 'clip-ons'.
And yes kiddies, there was a time when factory clip-ons just didn't exist, everyone had flat bars. :D
