G'day guys sorry don't wanna be a rude prick haven't been on for a while been really busy at work :( however I've got a question my missus wants to start riding, we have found an 89 cd 250 which she really likes trouble is the biggest problem a mechanic friend of hers could find was the clutch is not working, the cable does move the lever on top of the housing. Been quoted between $300 and $700 to fix and thats even if they can still get parts.So my question is they want $1500 for it, do you think i should make an offer if so what do you think would be a reasonable offer or should we not touch it with a barge poll? thanx for any advice :)

Just check the red book price: http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/mcycle/prices.php?id=115332 add the $700 to the $1500 and realise that he is asking the average price. Choice is then yours mate.
