o ripoff

I am trying to avoid paying $55 dollars for an alternator oil seal. It's a 25cm o-ring, which I split when I reinstalled the alternator after fixing the brushes on the starter motor. I thought the $80 bucks for the brushes was a ripoff. Does anyone know where to get cheaper o-rings?:(

go to a local seal or bearing place, they should be able to match one up for you
