Hi just thought i would see what you all thought of this,and how big is the streetfighter scene in oz considering moving over,and what is it like trying to get a job as a bike technician.

welcome mate ,nice bike, and yes it should be piss easy to get a job here as a bike tech considering the amount total knob heads working in the industry at the mo.

G'day Dave Dave, nice to hear from you. Nice bike mate. Love those pipes! Is that an 04 swingarm in there? Did you have any problems making it fit? I want to put one in mine so any tips would be great.
As for picking up work I don't think you'd have to many problems, I'm in Melbourne (Victoria) and the shops I speak to are complaining about how hard it is to find good mechanics.

Just been out playing today.
66 bikes, 280 miles of twisty's down into NSW.

Cheers guys,just a quick list of whats on the bike,
gsxr 750L frame and front end,
2001 1200 bandit motor with stage 3 dynojet just had it on dyno at work and fuelling needs tweekig,
gixxer 1000 k4 swingarm,
gixxer 1000 k1 digital speedo,
cbr 600rr shock,
one off exhaust,
daytime mot but i do the mots so thats ok,
Would like to bring the bike with me and my other 7/11 aswell,were thinking of perth but not sure where the best place would be.im a fully skilled bike tech so that should help, i have worked for honda and am now working for suzuki.Oh yes the k4 arm fits easy but you do have to make a new bush for the genuine spindle.Cheers.

I worked on the theory....
Bottom half of Australia still has a Winter.
Perth is too far from everywhere.
Cairns / NT is a bit too wet and warm...

That only left S/E Queensland.

Hi tony can you tell me what its like in brisbane for schools,work and housing maybe looking to buy a house outright hopefully.Where abouts in uk did you live,im in west yorks excellent roads but crap weather.Just come back from ibiza last week and its back to a couple of days of sun then rain as its doing now.

You can thank Ben and Stu for that mate. Their have appeared in issue 150 and 151 of Streetfighters mag in England (yet to make it here). The English lads are noticing we're here and doing some good shit!

Cheers mate got a couple of mods planned for winter then i will be bringing it to oz,just hope they give me a visa.

I don't know what the skill shortage is like but for me as a carpenter I was able to get what is called STNI (State Territory Nominated Independant) which basically means that if your skills are needed in a particular state they will fast track you through the system. In my case the Vic gov needed me and my actual application only took 6months (once I had done the skills tests etc)

hi mate i like the why you have done your exhaust are they b12 headers ? and how loud is that can ? do you get pulled alot by plod.i tryed to find you on sofc but cant find your user name im in the uk also blackpool
