Cut, add, solder, heatshrink. Done.

You might be able to re route them to save you having to cut and shut

What type of wire is best to use for a splice of this nature, I want to do it right so I don't have any problems.

Extending looms isn't too bad.

Just depends how fussy you want to be.

I was lucky with the Busa, Both sides were JUST OK
with a few attempts at re-routing.

I gave up with moving all the fuses, relays etc inside
the fairing to under the rear seat. I think I could have
done it, but didn't want it looking like a dogs-diner so got
Jim from HMR to do it nice and neat.

One neat trick I saw to extend looms without ANY cut and chop
was to find an old loom with identical plugs and make a short
plug-in extension piece. Works OK if the connections can be hidden.

Just check the diameter of wire you have now, and go for something similar.
Also try to stagger your joins so you don't end up with one big lump. [:I]

Wire & wiring supplies let your fingers do the walking & yellowpage Electrical Suppliers . I use either Fairfield Electrical Supply or JR Turks . Just take in the switchblocks with the wiring and they will supply you with the right size wire & all the other bits you will need . Pretty straight forward just tedious .

And if you stagger your joins properly, you won't need heatshrink ;)

EDIT: Individual heatshrink, that is....(you'll still need sleeving).

should be right with just re-routing, havent seen many with electricals too short. mainly brake and clutch. what everyone else said, just make sure you don't go cross eyed or colour blind cause it's tedious. but worth it:)
