I Have...
it wasnt that expensive, it cost me about $100.
that included making my own cable...just a pull type
and i had to buy a "ebay "switch control for my starter.
they take a bit of getting used too...but they are great for old farts like me with poor joints

I've got one too, $20 dirt bike trottle from the wreckers. You can get separate kill switches from bike like (i think) the vfr 400.
Works great on my bike, it means i can be lazy. I mean, who wants to have to move their hand all that way for full throttle when you don't have to.
Are your 487 turboed cc's of awsomeness a bit boring?

I wouldn't go as far as to say boring Chris, but it feels like I'm ringing it's neck all the time.

look for 'them on egay, there is a little add on thing that makes the throttle tube thicker, which makes it a shorter twist.. i had one on my bike, wasnt a massive difference, but it was alot better.. you can also get a really flash one, you can go from 1/5turn right down to a few mm of movement from closed to WOT.. fully adjustable. have no idea where to find one though

If heard of the true streetfighter method for a Q A throttle. Wrap a cable tie around the pulley to create a larger diameter then run throttle cable over that.
