I have managed to get hold of a Vortex top T clamp for GSXR1000 for my front end swap (sv1000), my question is it looks like I will have to get the under side of the clamp filled with weld then machined and drilled if I want to fit the SV handlebar clamps,is this feasible? has anyone done something similar? what are the pit falls of doing this etc? Cheers.

Thats the underside ,I am thinking I will have to fill the 2 areas either side of the stem hole with weld in order to have enough meat to drill through to mount the standard bar clamps. Is there any danger in this ?will the whole thing distort from the heat? am I waisting mine and everyones time? I am just after a bit of advice before I take it to welder.Cheers.

Where's you get it from sicko? Would you be better off selling it and getting an ABM clamp from Stu?

Not me mate I'm a kwaka rider. But it looks like a nice bit of kit, which someone may pay a reasonable price for, and the units from Stu are reasonably priced these days..
