Hi guys just got a quote from Air-Tech Streamlining for a seat unit for a 86 GSXR-750R (Ltd edition model). Seat unit is about $210 US and shipping door to door is $550 US or door to airport $192 US. Has anyone done door to airport before and knows what's involved in getting stuff through customs ? Has anyone got gear from these guys, is it quality stuff, so far they've been the only company to replay to any emails ad stuff.

Yeah I know everyone else is going the R1\R6 or even RGV on the slabbies I wanted something a little different.

is that $358 US from the airport to your house? what a bargain.Where in the US of A is the item located and can it be picked up?

No that's $550 US for shipping alone for door to door. They're in California, pretty sure pick up wouldn't be a problem but my airfare would be slightly higher pmsl.

(anyone heading over that way ?)

I've tried to get one locally but no one seems have a mould.

Still thinking it'd still be cheaper than getting a new subframe and plastics from something else. And it would work in with the "Oldskool" look

Bladehunter, just get them to wrap it, call FedeX and get it delivered yourself, shouldn't cost anymore then $100.

Right on, what did you have it fitted to ? I'm hoping to put it on a 88 Slabby 1100.

the seat is unique to the limited editions, so do u have the right seat to fit it?
Its a fibreglass copy of 86 750 dry clutch model. If u did have the correct seat then yes it would fit, the tail light is also unique to that model and is still available but the actual seat isn't.

bikebandit still lists the seat itself as being available so I might be in luck, if not I'll just have to get out the hammer and angle grinder.

let me know if ya still want the US unit. My Uncle fly's to LA every week (pilot) and owns a house there that it can be sent to.I'm sure he wouldn't mind stashin it in the cockpit for ya.

Free shipping sounds good Davo. Failing that drop me an email. I get all my stuff through Kangaroo International Couriers. They have offices in Brisbane and Sydney.
My last shipment which arrived last Friday, left Ohio on Tuesday.

Not a bad unit you have there GSX14. Its a little different to a limited one but still nice and most importantly, very old scool
