id assume it'd be easier/cheaper to make my own plates right?
is it as simple as cutting some aluminium and bolting on.. & should the be some sorta seal?

There's a similar mod that I've done to my ZX9 - except you keep the valves and connect the hoses to your crankcase breather pipe. Supposed to give you a few extra HP by keeping the crankcase in a constant vacuum (easier to rev apparently). A couple of T pieces and some hose, only cost about $10.

did you find/hear/feel a difference?

I did this mod to my SV ,totaly removed and blanked off the PAIR system with a kit I got from the UK,I cant say if performance improved but it stopped the exhaust popping when backing off.Not sure of the legalities in doing this either.

Hard to say - I did this mod at the same time I removed the ram air, changed the exhaust and pissed around with the jetting. I would say it probably spins up a bit quicker, but IDK.

As far as legality goes, it's probably illegal (as they use these valves to reduce unburnt emissions), but if I get pulled over this will probably be the least of my worries....;)

hhaahah.. lets hope for the good 'ol "this is how the subframe came" trick..

anyway i linked the two pipes up as seen with the braided hose... but ive also decided to take the k&n breather off too... is it ok to make a 3 way with the nozzle in the pic which normally goes up into the air box..
