So basically i had my tidy little zx2r stolen by some dipshit teenage scumbag around November last year. Wasnt insured so i pretty much just dealt with it and moved on never expecting to see again (in one piece anyway). Until a 2am phone call in December from Blacktown police station surprises the hell out of me. They found my bike! So i go down to pick it up, and thats when i realise i shouldn't get my hopes up too soon. It was in a sorry state to say the least. Nevertheless, i get her home and there she sat for about a month while i figured out what to do with it.

Meanwhile, my remaining points dissolve off my license and i front up to court to get told im off the road for 12 months (12 months cause apparently riding a pocket bike on the road 2 years previously with no license carries a 1st offense. WTF?! This was now considered my second. A warning to all those who think pocket bikes are fun...they're not!).

So i figure 12 months of no riding, im going to go crazy. I needed a project. So i take my love of streetfighters and 1 beaten up bike and set out to build the sickest looking 250 in Oz!

It will basically be my commuter/weekend fun bike. The only real performance mods im doing is a massive dinnerplate sprocket, a shortie exhaust and a cleaned and tuned engine. There may be some other bits and pieces thrown in the mix, who knows! This is really just for fun and to have a crazy looking ride to cruise around on. Also its good practice for my many future builds.

The exhaust can is only for placement until i order my shortie from Roo Racing, hence the wire holding it in place! Was really just so i could hear if it was going to be too loud, but i actually sounds awesome. Not too loud but fking deep! Still waiting on an undertray aswell.

To answer your questions,

Jockney - pm me if you think you might be wanting to sell your shortie to me

Bitchfish - so far its been almost every weekend since about Feb and a few hours at night before daylight savings ruined it. I figure ive got the rest of the year so im in no rush. Besides sitting and contemplating what to work on next along with waiting for parts to turn up takes up most of my time!

HueyonaBlade - I prefer the clip ons over the mx bars. Its not really a stunt bike and i dont want to drop it and ruin the paint job trying, so the clip ons stay.

And Seifer - you must know your stuff. Although i used cling wrap not plastic bags. Gives it way more organic character.

nice work mate i like it alot .. id be swinging towards mx bars like huey said doesnt have to be a stunter matter of fact 90% of stunters run clipons .. it will just top off that look my 2 cents . i reckon if u have got some old mx bars lying around u should sit them on there to see what u think

I kinda like the clipons, I think they really suit the lines of the bike. The mx bars might look a bit out of place on it, it looks nice and lean forward agressive at the mo.
