Just wondered what you guys thought about my possible plans to Streetfighter / Naked Style my 87' GPZ.
I'm sure everyone will have different opinions on this and at the end of the day it is my choice, just thought i'd see if anyone knew of any potential problems or reasons i shouldn't do it.
Not expecting it to be such a "wow factor" when its done, just want to remove some of the bland plastic look.
I'll be doing it on the cheap as i don't see sense in spending a fortune on a bike thats not worth much, plus i'm not so flush at the moment anyway :(

Some parts i'm thinking of using, not so keen on the carbon fibre look on old bikes but the mirrors are cheap so thought i'd keep the theme going with the indicators

As far as i can see the remaining parts i'm after are:-
Headlamp and fixings (not sure what style, probably just standard round one)
New Clocks (the style of clocks for naked bikes)
Straight bars and fixings (could be the most expensive item and i realise i may have to extend the control connections)
4 into 1 Exhaust (could also be pricey and tricky to source the right fit)
I have a spare fuel tank i can grind the fairing fixing cleats off. The only plastic i plan to keep on the bike are the belly pan and the front guard. Another issue i will have is the header tank for the radiator, doe anyone know if i can simply remove this? or is that a stupid question, i realise it must be there for a reason [8)]
Before i do any of this i thought about getting the bike tuned to see if a proffesional thinks its running as it should.
It has a slight miss fire at 2500rpm which is not a real problem just annoying!
The bike has K&N pod filters and have been told it will need rolling road tunning and that the filters could be an issue. Anybody know if this is true or can anyone recomend a tuner in the Brisbane area?
Anyway folks what do you think?
Totally not worth it? shouldn't change an original Bike? or anyone actually think its a good idea?
