Fucking freezing outside, snowing in the hills last night, wind coming straight off it, raining all day. Working til 830 tonight. I went to move my bike to somewhere I could see it and the FUCKING thing won't start.

Battery is flat for some odd reason. FUCKING CUNT OF A THING.

No Jim that is not cold that is stupid and also probably one of the reasons you moved here in the first place.

It's not just that your battery is frozen is it? get a bit of heat on it and see how ya go.

Canberra's cold snaps regularly destroy batteries (and souls).

It's a real prick of a thing. (reminds me I better check my bike today)

All good. Got it started, just the battery. After the ride from belc to gordon my jeans wrapped legs didn't fucking work tho :)

about 10 years ago I was working just out of canberra (the federal hwy upgrade into town). To be on site at 6am in the middle of winter was a real bitch. Going through patches of fog would instantly freeze the windscreen over making it impossible to see out of. Driving with your head sticking out of the window at 120k in -10 +windchill fucking hurts your eyeballs.

I was a nurse back in the 80's, ansd riding to work for a 6AM start was a tad cold in winter. -8 and terrible wind chill along Barry drive @ 200+. (I lived at the old RCH nurses home at the time and worked across the road from Calvary Hospital.) Never actually slowed me down though, funny that eh.

Way too old for that shit now, takes forever to warm back up these days. Plus there were few cops, no points on license, no scameras, etc back then.
