I have an idea rattling around in my head (it's a bit lonely) at the moment....[}:)]
What are the pro's and con's of an ali fuel cell ?
Not a tiny 'lil drag race one but a proper fuel tank size...
The idea being that I can then create whatever I want as a tank cover.
My ali welding is ok for the cover but not the actual tank.
And can anyone recommend someone for the job ?

You wont be able to carry a tank bag

The strength of the cover won't be an issue and I never trust magnetic bags anyway. Always use straps.

I was a long way down that road myself and a CF fuel tank came up cheap.

I almost had Ben make me a CF skin moulded from the stock tank as a dummy/cover.

The plan was to make an aloy tank that sat lower in the bike down behind the engine and make room for a larger air box.

The dummy tank would also be the lid of the new air box.

A QB Carbon tank came up really cheap so I went with that instead.

I am still amazed how much difference a light weight fuel tank (and foam inside) makes to the handling etc.

$$$No$$$Worries$$$Mate$$$ Actually i can do that i would need your original tank. Id say it would cost around $200.00 for a dummy fibreglass tank. Same price for anyone on here + postage.
