Led lights flasher unit

I installed my led's the other day and I fitted a non load dependent flasher unit and the leds work fine but when I turn the indicator off they stop flashing but the flasher unit keeps ticking. Any suggestions?

Park it out front of the Lodge. They'll shut doun half of Canberra.

id say there was a short somewhere, or that the flasher is faulty, take it back and say its not working right give me a new one or else, and see if it does the same thing
