yzf1000 shock into 88 750 slingshot?

I heard you could upgrade the slingy's shock with a yzf1000 shock and it will fit straight in. Has anyone done this and what year yzf is good for it?

Haven't a clue, but I have an R1 shock (not for sale) if you need any measurements.

Thunder-ace shock will almost bolt styraight in and raise your ride height about 10-15mm with standard linkages.(i think they were like 96 or sumthin).a 96 gsxr shock will bolt straight in and give you the same ride height and like the Thunderbox,its also 3 way adjustable. $100 is a fair price to pay for such an item.

I looked at several to lower my mono shocker Santee Slingshot Chopper. The 2002 model R1 was an almost straight swap and 10mm shorter. The Honda 954 Ducati Monster shocks looked good but they were longer.
