Die ist zu "brav" zu hoch und zu klobig.

I do not like the lamp mask personally so gladly. Those is too "good" too high and too klobig. But otherwise the carriage is rather fat!

Sounds like her boobs/headlights are too high or unnatural. But everyone loves a fat arse!:D

Hi all!
Thanks for the Flowers!!

Gix, you are onto it: Yeah, the Fairing is too high. You might notice a bracket on the steering stem, I could'nt be bothered to take it off (two 8mm bolts, ya see). Thats why I sticky taped the fairing above it. Just to get an idea how everything looks, when it is mounted together on the bike. (This is the first time I have done this. I got the bodywork from Germany [including the mask, zendes] at different places. I only have seen them seperately on photos before I actually bought them).

@ Zendes: "It looks friendly, with a smile"!? What? Are you on drugs or something!
I've seen your bike in SI. Nice one! You have to get your shit together to make it until 1.4...
Once the fairing is mounted properly, it will not appear as big, trust me.
Besides, I decided in favour of some sort of windprotection. 'Cause I am not gonna ride that thing to the next cafe or party only (I am not saying you do...)
Mensch das sieht ja aus bei Dir. Das ist so Un- Deutsch, hehehe!

@ Large: To the rear suspension comment: You see the Ohlins shock.... It is a conventional set up with a linkage/ pivot-point thing (Fuck, I forgot the proper name of that thingy). Aaanyway, If you require a better photo, let me know.
You doing a good job as a translator, by the way....

Razorback: That pink Flag... You told me that you will keep the secret!
I still keep mine, about your ideas at the next mardi gras.

Gidday Ladies!

This one turns out to be a funny one!

03gixx: It not a TL suspension. That was one idea behind it. A sweet handling TL. Howzat for a change. Italian handling without the shortcomings attached....

Gix: The rear wheel is a new Marvic. The seat base you see on the cowl is a 996 (without padding offcourse).
Zendes will probably call me a Girl again. Cause I am having actually a seat, and not a S/S Plate with a Knuckelbuster engraved on it, hehehe!
I thought about Ohlins....$4.500,- plus wheel, calipers.....
This complete frontend, I got from the Wreckers for $2.500,- (it's straight and all). Since I am not racing... That GSXR 1000 '03-'04 will do, thanks.

ZenDes: That is one of the reasons why I went to Oz. Here are continious Days with Sun. Yes, these Countries do exsist! In case you want to know: Today's Weatherforcast in Perth 36 C and fine!
chalk10, this picture is for you as well. I am reffering to the Numberplate on me Fazer, not the fairing.

-2 C. Shit!
I know Walhalla from Richard Wagner's Opera. But, where is it you are going?

What do you mean with, "2 sluggs 44 - no less, no more :-" ?

Frankie

05-03-2006, 10:35 AM
I think our little Zen Biddhist buddy isn't quite so calm when it comes to Alfons (who the feck is Alfons)

You only need one slug if it's to the back of the head Zendy ;)

-2 that's nothin', giv'us as couple of months at it'll be getting to -6/-8 around here. But it don't snow or rain much, so daily riding's still on [^]

Mate, Canberra is colder than Bob (the greenie fag) Brown is towards homophobic Tasmanian lumberjacks.

I've seen -25 or something with wind-chill factor, and that's just standing outside in the breeze.

I might have to go the 'girl' and get a fairing bike for winter, or drink lot's of Vodka. :D

Hi Veetwo,

the L/H and Rockercovers are polished. Cause they are Magnesium. The R/H cover is chromed.

Hi,
Gix: Thanks for that link. I did'nt think of that....stupid.
The whole bike is rather narrow, 400mm a the widest point. Ya see, the fairing will always look a bit big. It looks very different on a inline 4.
I know what you are saying. But if I go much lower, than I'lI lose the protecting effect (yeah,I know, I am a Girl). Originally, I just wanted to bold on a small trick lamp. Just like the Spiderman TL. I will go with it, for now....

28-03-2006, 09:23 PM
O.K. Update,
The engine should be ready to be fired up, since a while.
Done over the last weeks:
Window clutch cover, pro bolt kit, cut hole/ welded pipe in swing arm for header pipe, finished sub frame fabrication, waiting on the switchboard from Germany, cut top of air box to fit the tank. Polished all "discouloring" off, from the welds on frame, fitted rear light into seat cowl, eeehm I think thats it so far.

I am on sick leave since a while (fucked back, 30 Years tradesman). Once I am back at work, I'd like to send the bike to Ben, to "finish it off". I hope he can work his magic on the Spondon as well.
The reason for that is, I am useless with electrics (the wireing harness has to be modified,
remote ignition ect.) and the complete exhaust has to be made up (nicely). Which I have to trade out as well, anyway. I am working 2 weeks on- 1 off, I am limited in time to work on the bike..... I would like to have it registered bevore the end of this Year. [8D]

Oh! Any (serious) suggsestions on the paint job? Please, no matt black with skulls! Or po..f..r pink or something! (Hey, Large, Razorback and them lot.)

Hi fimp,
sorry for the late reply.

MGM- Bikes are Siggi and Wollie! Streetfighter from the first day! And still are true Fighters!
Siggi, Wolli's wife used to race. She's a bike mechanic and she builds the Spondons!! Wolli is is up to it as well.
They are alway friendly and straight onto the orders. As I mentioned elsewhere in this forum, I pay AUS$ 30 for the bank transfer. It is not much if you buy something for more $$$. I always got some discount!! That much discount that it is surtenly not more expencive than buying the same products elsewhere. That elswhere wants to make a dollar as well. If you want, I can get the stuff you need directly from MGM. By the way, they speak a little bit of English as well.
Please let me know how you went with the dealings in the States.

Frankie
