This is a before shot of my SV1000 which was my pride and joy for 3 years. Now that it's a bit bent, we'll see what happens next...

Potential is there. Those bikes handle like a 600?

Some very nice ideas there - love that Leo Vince pipe...

Got the news on Friday that the insurance company has come to the party and will get it sorted and back on the road asap.

Unfortunatley that means any radical streetfighter looks will be on hold for a while, but they have agreed to a Yoshi 2:1 (much cheaper than std mufflers) and some renthal fat bars as I had already put some motard bars on - I guess it's a start...

OK then, the bike has been officially written off and I have a bit of $$$ to play with so here's what's currently on the way to NZ:

Yoshi stainless 2:1 with stainless TRS Tri-oval muffler JC Exhaust, USA
Evo-tech perfomance CNC machined exhaust hangers (black) - Evoteck, UK
Chewy's SV996R stickers & tank raising kit
Crash knobs - Rapid Art, NZ
Flush mount indicators - Demon Bikes, UK
Billet top yoke, superbike bars, speedway mirrors, bar ends - AuSFR

[:p][:p][:p][:p][:p]:D:D:D:):)

I've decidied to keep the original fairing / belly pan, as I like to style ans long distance practicallity of them, but I'll be heading down to one of the local painters tomorrow as were looking for a metallic red which will really POP when the sun hits it.

More to follow as it happens.

Cheers

Well' I've now got these seriously funky pillion pegs hangers from evo-tech performance, BUT the next challenge is the pillion pegs!!!!!!

These are required for the NZ Warrant of Fitness.

What I need are pegs complete with mountings.

The only after market ones I have found so far are the '70's style round rubber style - seriously ugly.

Has anyone found any good styles?

perhaps some BMX pegs (the cheap small diameter ones, meant for flat-landing)

or just get someone to turn u up some round bits of nylon with grooves in and stick a long bolt through em?

Ok, I'm starting to make some progress now, Yoshi pipe arrived yesterday and took all of 45 minutes to install as I had already removed the std mufflers and 'bag of snakes' pipe work, OSF rearsets installed and cut down std pillion pegs painted and fitted.

The paint should be finished in the next few days, and a box of goodies are on their way from AUSFR - it's just like Christmas around here at the moment:D:D
