What does your taillight mounting look like? Mine's got screws in the light....and these bosses in the rear plastics...no problem cut off the extraneous white bits...but the angles look wrong then and I don't think it's fit without No More Gaps.

thats not the original light large. the original is just the reflector which the bulb mounts into and it is round and has rubber around it then goes into that round hole.and spreads out towards the srew mounts. then the lens goes over it and then screws on via the protruding screw mounts. i didnt have time to get mine out cause its too big at the moment. but i will soon. and i will show it to ya.

that looks like an aftermarket slower xr600 one large. dont use it your bike wont go any good if you do.

as long as you have the right lens and that rectangular hole is for the numberplate light. surely a new taillight isnt worth too much large. and i just put the led globe in because standard globes blow all the time due to excessive vibrations due to too much horsepower.
