Hey everyone what an awesome weekend.
Big thanks to Si and Stu for organising a very eventful and fun weekend, also a thank you to all the other guys and girls that helped run different things over the weekend (gate, bar, stall, drags etc) and for the few club members who did not help at all (you know who you are) you are tiprats and should be ashamed of yourselves.

Thanks again to everyone especially all the guys that made me feel welcome at my first AFR and, Rod and PAB for all the help they gave me.

Oops almost forgot thanks Davo for the loan of your tent I appreciated it a lot more last night when I got about 5 minutes sleep in my ute :D.

Just walked in the door and I was like "bugger unloading the van", I've been hanging to jump on the net to say the same thing. I had an absolute ball on the weekend and would like to thank Si, Stu and all of the others that made it happen. I'd have to say that it was the best event I've been to in ages and that being with a big group of like-minded people who were there just to have fun was what made it so great.

And to those of you who didn't make it, SUCKED IN. Don't miss next years one!

I got home at 2.30 thismorning. We drove straight thru. Kinda felt bad going to bed knowing the Bikecraft boys had another 2 1/2 - 3 hours ahead of them.

I just drove two and a half hour to drop the timing lights off and am still to tied to think straight.

Yep was a sweet weekend............

JackTurd... your tiprat call is a standard 'lets all nail ourselves on a cross' jibber..... You have no idea what circumstances dictate members whereabouts....

May I now get off my cross and explain....

Friday night I drove into the night to fix a persons car ( not a member) to get to the strip before 9am saturday.. Only to find that a members friend, had fallen pissed, over my bike....

During Saturday/Sunday, I hosted no less than 14 family members including kids ( in which purchased all kinds of ASF stuff and spent no less than 3000 bucks on camping, etc) They had all come to see what this stuff was all about.....

Saturday night I rebuilt a clutch got pissed, etc

oh, I forgot, I also designed, fabricated, supplied trophys for the event...

Its FONC, FINCL's ( Friend Of No Cunt, Fucking Idiot No Cunt Likes) that cause un-warranted resentment within the ranks......

Why not ask for help at the time or shut the fuck up!!!!

I will now wind my head and neck back in, and climb aboard my cross..

Everybody who worked at various appointments during event THANKYOU

See ya next year for a beer....

Cheers

Pete

Well as a matter of fact Pete you were not even one of the members that I was thinking about as I know you had a cunt of a time with some things on the weekend and I also knew that you did the trophies. Sorry that you feel I have singled you out but hey everyone is entitled to jump on their soapbox every now and then now I have done it and you have done it lets just leave it at that. As for asking for help well I am not even going to go into it because I have already said I will leave it at that. I still don't think there is any need to get personal but if that is what you wanna do then go for gold I have been called worse and it doesn't really bother me.

All that said and done did you end up getting recompense for your bike after Fri nights incident? I hope it all worked out.

Mate,

Point Taken.... However blanketed personal attacks should be directed, in order to prevent any mis-understandings...

Events like this will always have an unbalanced workload due to various moral standings from individuals.... I dont believe MOST people would delibrately skirt work, I hope.....

cheers

Pete

I had an exellent weekend overall..... all episodes reference friday have bben sorted... I felt sorry for his misfortune, we have all been pissed and done silly stuff

As ASF gets bigger and more popular were going to have a massive range of personalities on this site, Just like now. I took this years AFR to really put faces to names and try and meet new members and have a beer with mates. Thats what AFR is too me. The drag stip, stunters and burnouts were a bonus! Bring on Next year!

Volunteers should be made more offical so if the event is going to continue, no pressure is put on those members who really just chose to chill out for a weekend and mingle in the fun or sort there own stuff out. Just from talking to afew new members, they were telling me that locals and non members approached them and asked about the bikes and the racing etc and had some pretty good yarns with them, now to me thats just as good as volunteering. Helping give a greater reputation of the event, ASF and leave the town with a good positive view.

We ALL had a ball and it was a pleasure meeting you all and catching up with mates.

They were great mate. Mick and the Highway Patrol guys were in full support of the whole thing and came down to check on proceeding everyday. You'll see them in the Video. Top bunch of guys.

i dunno, when i tried to catch the groupride on the sunday (thanks for waiting for me u fuckers [:P])

and headed out to where billywizz suggested they might be going (kyogle??)
there were 2 highway cars patrolling that road from casino
and i think the actually groupride may have attracted some attention the same day?

that MAY have been cos of the hooliganism we were doing on the saturday groupride though :D

Given that the Casino area was full of semi legal bikes ( no defects issued in their divivion that weekend says they were very fair) As an O/HS issue it would seem the police would have a duty of care to patrol the common riding roads around the area is case an big get off........... The guys I spoke to seemed quiet happy with behaviour all weekend. The guys ( policemen) enjoyed using their radar, lidar equipment at the end of the strip, saying it made their day to clock guys at 280-300+

Pete

Jockney Rebel
10-04-2008, 05:29 PM
ditto..pete i think they had a pukka atitude from my perspective.i just didnt trust meself and anyway i was having far too much fun beating sports bikes down the strip

I agree, the police were very good. They could have closed the whole thing down at any time if they wanted to.I think they respected the fact that we didnt play up in their town so thats congratulations to everyone there also,It would only take one person to do something stupid in the main street and things would have been very different.
