Hi,
I've polished up the right side of the gixxer frame. I went to get started on the left side, but noticed there's the compliance plate up the front.
What do you guys do? Mask around the compliance plate and polish the rest, leaving an ugly un-polished chunk of frame? Surely you can't polish over the plate, it wouldn't come out good and it'd shoot yourself in the foot at rego time.

The earlier ones were all raised print so you just polished them. I'm guessing you have a black one with text PRINTED on it yea?

if it has rivets, drill them out..... if its a stick on, mask it up....

Some of the writing is raised up, but i'm not sure if all of it is. I'm a bit shy of sanding over it, i'm getting a vision of a unregistrable bike with a totally mucked up comp plate.
Rivets! I'll have a look. That might be a good option.
