Finally got the "thing" registered.
After work (1am) on thursday night..er.. friday morning I decided I would go for a bit of a hoon.

Turns out I should have taken the time to adjust the shit headlight I bought to get the thing roadworthy!! All it did was barely light up the freakin trees!

I also hadnt bought my winter gear and being at that time of night I had no servo to go to in town to pick up some rain/fog x !! aah good cold 3ft visibility fun [xx(] didnt see any of the regular roos at least.

So I made it from my house to browns plains to a mates place and adjusted the headlight.. then headed off around the southside.

its still hopeless. on low beam I cant even tell if its on in town, and hi beam is like a $10 LED mechanics light! I forget what the light is of, big queer lookin one I got from the wreckers cause it fit between the brackets I already had and needed it in a hurry. its so dull. The pitch black trip home is a mission, wasnt too bad considering it was moonlit all weekend!

my mates bike, I think, has a fog light set from supercheap and they are bright as hell. I cant afford a decent set of twin fighter type headlights, anyone got any ideas.

4 nights in a row, first night bris, then got home at sunrise and thought.. nah..I will go up mt tamb on my own, saturday did a trip up to pick my gear up and visit the family, and a run up mt mee tonight... I feel like I hav been sexually interfered with by a freight train and im in the dog house for neglecting the missus.
But I dont wanna put the damn thing away!

I heard all the hype about the extra cops on the highway but I really didnt see many at all coming back down the bruce and all around the city. it was like a ghost town thursday night didnt get one red light! and did the hr trip to my place without seeing a single car behind me

Had a mad weekend. bit deaf from ringing the 250's neck sitting on 110 all night ! and after alot of testing.. stock bike horns do NOT impress pretty ladies walking on the footpath ;)

All my mates have piked out too.
Is there any info on day pass prices? I just want to come down for a look. maybe saturday or sunday? might be a good excuse to "take the girl out" hehe

Just some pics I took, nothing too extraordinary!

This is the useless headlight Im talking about. (this was the other day when I was parked to go into the trans dept in the shops, cops stopped to see whats goin on with the lack of a plate and turned around to find 2 14yo kids sniffing paint behind the dumpster.)

The younger bro actually picked the zxr up as a wreck and was suprised to see it on the road after all this time ! Couldnt get him off the thing - when I jumped on his jade it felt like I was riding on the bonnet of a truck, and compared to mine it felt like it was trying to steer itself into the ground!

My mate has a complete A model zxr250 and he said mine sits heaps lower than his.

Im all for constructive (or completely life shattering) critisism in regards to my crappy front end. the muddy isnt cut down cause I want to eventually get the rest of the fairing. but I need to get the headlights sorted in the mean time!

Your on the road...[8D]...well done.
...anything else is just a step up the ladder.

Your not the only one on the site with "interesting" lights.

My old GSXR11 had Peugeot Speedfighter 50cc Scooter lights,
My Busa has a German fairing with a Scooter lense.
Scooter lights are NOT made for 250kph bikes!!! :D
There's a few on here that like to be home by dark...;)

As long as you have a decent feed to the light you might
just need a new sealed beam / lense / bulb thats in better condition.
55/60 should be standard. I've used 80/100 or 90/100 but they
might not be legal and not all bikes electrics are happy feeding them.

See ya at Casino...;)

The lights I'm currently running on the GS are about as handy as a cigarette lighter, it's easy fixed though, I don't ride it in the dark. lol

When I took the bike down to qld transport I parked it out the back (its a group of shops carpark)
I came down the stairs with the plate in my pocket ready to rock n roll and they had parked behind my bike. I thought yea heheh suckers cant get me now anyway.

I walked over but one of them peeked around past the bike as I got there and were suprised to find 2 dumbass kids sniffing paint behind the dumpster.
Old mate asked me about the bike but I showed him the plate, I thought it was going to be the last cop that did me would hav been good to stick it to him the smart ass.

The look on the kids face when he was getting a lecture was priceless.. you know the look of "uuuurghdunooo.. dont care"

Least the jails will be kept in business in 10 years

haha well at least now I dont feel so bad...
I was planning on riding to and from work (40min trip) but I finish at midnight every night so I wont untill I fix the problem. Plus I dont pay fuel anyway when I get a lift it just shits me when my mates shifts are different to mine.

I will see what I can dig up at repco tomoro with the lights.

I know im going to be pissed off if I dont get down to casino !!

I think it could be adjusted down a bit more, I didnt anything but a screwdriver at my mates places and I couldnt undo things to tilt it past where it was hitting on the forks.

I'll go down now and pull the guts out and see if its actually okay on the inside !
It still seems very dim, its just an orange circle like a torch going flat in the rear view mirror [:p]
