Probabley going to give Sasha's red seat cowl a coat of
black next week. Nothing flash, just Rattle-can's.
We are talking Super-Cheap not Spray booths..;)

Cowl is plain red plastic. No paint or finish,
just moulded red plastic.

Been told there is paint more suitable for painting car
bumpers and mirror backs ? More "Flexible" paint ?

Just looking to go Gloss Black. Was going to flat it off
then Grey primer then the Black, am I going to have promlems
painting something that is slightly more flexible than normal
plastic panels. Not after perfection, just not cracking or
peeling off.

Thanks.

septone colours are good

i did my FZR on the weekend i just scuffed it back with some 800 wet and dry then a shot with primer filler to get the chips out

then 3 coats of satin black and leave in the sun to cure

Thashed fuck out of it and it sticks fine:)

Pretty sure you will find that it is painted from the factory, especially if it is genuine suzuki part. Turn it over and have a look at the underside, sand an area that is unseen if you are worried but I think you will find it is painted. if so just sand with 800 wet & dry, wash with wax & grease remover then apply paint.
If it is plastic rub with scotchbrite and a strong detergent (removes release agent ) wax & grease, plastic primer ( should come in aerosol ) paint. To achieve a more flexible finish we mix an elasticiser into the paint prior to application, you will not need this as I don't imagine the seat cowl will be very flexible

Its a Powerbronze or similar aftermarket.
Seems to be red plastic not a coating or finish.

I will check out Autobarn or Supercheap this week,
see what they stock.
