I know this cheeky bastard that just spent 3 days in the Adelaide hills with a plate carefully selected from his collection in the shed. I of course would never do anything like that, law abiding citizen that I am.

HAha yeah. No numberplate. I was taking it for a quick strap just to make sure it didnt fly apart before I took it down for the roadworthy. (should have paid 3rd party !!)
I overtook a truck and went past the first patrol car at about 140. then as I was slowing down and looking back for the patrol car a paddy wagon was parked in someones driveway with a radar and spotted me.
I didnt get done for speeding though, just no rego, no insurance.
Tried to tell me the bike is defective because its missing the front fairing.... I didnt argue.. I had a rego sticker still on it from 2004!!! forgot to take the thing off !
Also stated the colour of the bike as being purple and red.. there is NO red on it, must be colour blind and used the old rego label as a reference.
I usually get along with the local cops in this situation, with my car anyway. many a time. but it was either a bad day, or all part of the massive crackdown this week.
lesson learned.!! shoulda hid behind the truck !!:D
