A is from the battery.
B goes to the starter motor.
C + D are the solenoid triggers.
F is redundant.

The problem is E. It should give positive power into the loom through the fuse. It is fed from the battery side of the solenoid. I have tried 2 units but no luck.

If I put + straight into the loom from the battery to the wire in the plug everything works.

I have dismantled one solenoid and can see no reason why it won't work.....It did last time I rode it over to our house.

Am I missing summat ? I was going to do a permanent bypass but just thought I'd check with you Kwakerphiles first...

Are you sure F is not an earth Sharky?
According to a couple of my manuals, you should have a live from the battery feeding 2 terminals (One is the battery side of the fuse), from the other side of the fuse (white) feeds the reg/rec and the ignition switch.
The other bolt terminal goes to starter.
Yellow and red feeds the Junction box.
And an earth.

Hope that helps???

Cheers'en

There isn't a connector in the plug for the redundant 'F' mate.
Ive put + / - into C & D and the solenoid clicks over.

In that case then e feeds your ignition switch/junction box.

That's what I reckon anyway!!
