After a couple of years of riding the 929 every day to work and back I decided to was time for a change. As the bike is my main form of transport I am restricted to jobs I can do in a weekend of a week off so I can still use the bike to get to work on Monday. So the plan was to do a basic fighter build keeping the bike mostly stock. Fitted the new triple clam and bars a few weeks back and then decided to use the weeks break I had over xmas to get on with the rest. I still need to get a bracket fabricated for the gauges and fly screen and then get some paint on it. Its pretty basic but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Thanks SA, I agree the original gauges are nice but they are also a little on the clumsy side, I kept it mostly cause it was easy and only had a few days to get it all together. The speedo and cowl sits a bit high at the moment, will see if I can move it down a little when I get a proper bracket made up. If not then it may need to go.

Hey slim when you words it, did you use the tacho and speed sensors provided or did you wire it into the bikes ecu/loom. Was it straight forward ?

Speedo sensor comes with it, The magnet replaces one of your front disc brake bolts and the sensor is clamped/cable tied to the fork.

The tacho uses a wire from the dash and is wrapped/coiled around one of the spark plug leads.

Both totally independent from the bike OG system

Yep, pretty easy to do.
