water cooled carbs on slabby motor

how hard is it to fit w/c carbs (38mm) onto a 1100 slabbie motor (in a slingy frame) - have heard it can be done by swapping the outside carb rubbers over to get around the different spacing of the carbs - has anyone done it/ any suggestions or should i just try to get a set of oilcooled carbs

swap the rubbers around and you should be right. you should move 1 to 2 and 3 yo 4 and they should fit. i think

ok fellas

bought the carbs (off a 750wp) and trying to work out do i need to get the rubbers to suit the motor or the model the carbs are from

I was thinking it might be to suit the carbs and then mix/match them until they line up on the block

you need to get 38 or 40mm rubbers from a oil cooled motor. water cooled rubbers are miles different and wont even go close to fitting.

the rubbers you need are from 750L, 750M and 1100M like hens teeth i am told.
