Vapor speedo / taco

G'day I've got a 2002 Suzuki bandit 1200s and have strip the fairing and I'm going to use a vapor speedo taco combo anyway is it possible to use the wiring from old speedo taco to power new vapor ?65346534

Nice clean looking bandit Phil.
I believe the tacho is no problem, just wire in the old tacho input to the vapour and it will read it fine.
The speedo though, I believe, will need to use the vapour pickup and wheel magnet in order to work. This will probably be a hall effect style sensor where as the suzuki sensor in the sprocket cover seems to work off a toothed wheel so is probably a VR sensor so I don't think the vapour will read it.
