So I dragged the Gixxer out on the weekend for the first time in about 3 months. Have been starting it up in the garage everyweek.
Got it out on the road and under load it won't rev out. Coughs and farts and carries on. the F1 light comes on and off. While it's stopped and not under load. It Idles and revs fine.

Need help please !!!!!!!!!

Cheers Jed

When you've been starting it, have you been riding it? You mighta fouled the plugs if you didn't run it long enough. Oven cleaner will clean plugs- soak the tip in the cleaner for 15 minutes then use a toothbrush...et viola!

If that doesn't work, Google the suzuki FI codes, and do the paperclip in the plug thing.

Thanks Large. No. I haven't been riding it. Will do the plugs and see how that goes. Didn't think of that as i thought it would run rough etc while stationary.

Cheers

sounds like fuel pressure or flow maybe since itll idle but not much more maybe a blocked fuel filter , or lazy pump , dirty injectors

I does feel electrical though. I'll check all that out as well though. Thanks

My old TL sat for 3 months & had the same issues as you describe, the fuel had gone badly off & had rusted the shit out of the tank & fuelpump & blocked the fuel filter.
An hours cleaning & flushing in the pits at Phillip Island (Trackday) & all was good again.

Looks like a busy weekend. I'll give all these ideas a go. Shouldn't be anything too serious. Was going fine before I parked it.

go with what large said first......a lot of people
just keep starting up the bike in the shed and
fuck up the plugs.

Well, I have to admit I had to choose between the 55 chev and your bike....... or Boxers bike,

The Chevy got the nod from the missus tho,

Hope you get it sorted soon, nothing worse than chasing what seems to be a simple issue.
