As the title states. Would this be an ok mod or would the 250 front end not handle the weight?

If you resprung and revalved it I can't see why it wouldn't.... Are the external dimentions the same, fork tube diameter etc ?

AH Man after my same thinking!

I had run RGV250 Showa forks on the Harris for years and they work a treat.

i removed the 250 internals and used GSXR1100 91 internal springs with the 250 bottoms and made up spacers so the 1100 springs worked in the 250 uppers.

a bit of juggling with oil viscosity and amounts and good to go.

I have a set of GSXR1100 bottoms which I was going to fit to enable adjustment of compression etc but never got around to that bit as I replaced with R1 '04 forks.

Basically the Showa RGV forks are the same externally as fitted to 900SS Ducati around '90's era just internals are different from what I researched.

The other reason I was going to go 1100 bottoms was axle size on the 250 is a bit shy at 15mm but seemed OK with the 15mm std for the time I ran them!

I have a RGV USD front end if any one is casing one. It was on my GS.
