Hey guys,I need to replace my starter clutch cover in a hurry which has a rather large crack through the middle of it. I have a GSXR 1100 90 model. Are the oil burner covers from around this period ie 750 and 1100 86-96 and bandit 1200's all look very similar. Are they the same size for a direct replacement?

Better yet, can anyone recommend an epoxy I can use to repair the crack?

Heat-proof, strong and cheap.

i've used "Devcon fasmetal" and also the aluminium type and they worked really well. I rode for a couple of years on my CBR with the stator covers repaired with it and never had a problem.

I've used that metal repair stuff that comes in a stick, you snap a bit off, knead it and then use it... I used some on my Kat cases where the ignition pickup cover screws snap a bit of the case out when the bike is dropped on the right hand side (no, it was like that when I bought it!!, I just tidied it up) I filed it down smooth with the case and works really well, still the same as when I put it on over 12 months ago.
