Can anyone tell me fitting a different swingarm to bike like what I should be looking at and if it's a not a wide on pivot point would it be ok to spacers made up.
Is there a trick to lining up and measuring for spacers any help or pictures would be great.

arrrr the age old question.......... how long is a piece of string
wider pivot isnt always a prob
here is a zrx 1100 arm i did for a zephyr 550 while on the bike with some bar, tool steel and a hand drill

things like pivot to wheel center ( can be changed within reason )
wheel wigth for chain run ( only big issue is frame clearance to trye in realation to chain wigth other issues can be machined most of the time)
shock type and mount all can be changed within reason
and a few others, but follow yr noise and keep a few steps ahead of yrself and its not really a hard job and some
arms basicly fall into some bikes

Thanks ozzy1100 I'm thinking about putting a 2008 GSXR 1000 Swingarm onto my 1996 zx6r and with a ruff measurement the zz is 225mm and ax is 230mm or I could go a 1996 GSXR1100 that is 230mm but I like the 2008 one better what the best way to shine that out.

I'm in the middle of swapping my 96 zx6r for over to 94 zx9r usd forks but the stem from the 9 is a bit larger then the 6 factory one.
I have emailed a few places around about bearing swaps but no good and I was wondering how would fitting brushes in the 9 tree to be able to fit the stem from the 6 would go.
I have tried looking on net for info but I'm not having much luck so I was wondering if anyone has done this or have advice on what's good material to use and if it's even worth doing as I want something that's going to be safe.

What length and diameters do you need to make it fit? I only ask as I have some ZXR750 parts here that may fit?
