Hi all, I'm new to the bike customisation scene so would like some info before I charge ahead into something that potentially can't be done. I have a 2006 Suzuki GSR600 and I would like to remove the factory seat and cowling and replace it with something newer, something along the lines of a later model R6/1. Any feed back on this would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard mate. anything is possible, it's just a matter of which route you take.

Yep, that's exactly what I'm talking about. That's a sweet looming bike, is it yours and if so did you do the work yourself?

6358 This is my bike. I've had the plastics wrapped in carbon wrap, had the tank sprayed and the seat re-upholstered in straight black and it looks much better.

No mate, not mine. I'd be pulling your seat unit off and looking at the mountings, then getting an R6 tail end. If that's the one you really want then it will fit somehow, as you can see above. A few photos of it pulled apart and the new unit and we'd have some answers for you.
