I've been building a new bike the past few months and i'm at the stage where I need to source an engine.

I'd like to use something new if possible (ideally Jap) as opposed to rebuilding something. I've scoured the net and have rang around but can't seem to find anyone that sells new engines? Haven't looked at importing anything yet but figured there's bound to be someone on here in the know. Anyone got any leads?

Cheers

When you say "small", do you mean physical size or CC?

By the way, welcome aboard mate.

Thanks Gix11.

I'm after something around 250/400cc. Displacement isn't such an issue but I want the bike to be within the learn power limits. A single cylinder 250/400 etc thats aircooled would be ideal. I've seen a few chinese manufacturers make these engines but its a bit of a gamble without knowing anyone that can vouch or give advice as to their reliability etc etc.

Send an email to braaaap motorbikes in Melbourne by get are going to be bringing in engine kits 450cc (rip off from the CRf 450) quite reasonably priced.
