17" Wire Wheel Rims

Just say a bloke was thinking about making up a pair of 17" wire wheels to suit an old school big block bike... Could that bloke lace up some Superretard rims, or should he be looking for something a bit stronger?

ducati wheels... they have a couple of 17" spoked "bigger bike" wheels, probably not as heavy as anything that you would put that behemoth of an engine in, but would probably work.

I reckon motard rims would be fine, its not like you'll be jumping it or anything? Maybe some heavier butted spokes, but shouldn't need anything to extreme?
