1 (http://www.erikbuellracing.com/motorcycles/1190sx-2/)85hp
140Nm
188kg WET
$24k odd ride away
And it LOOKS good.

Doesn't do anything for me.

The 185hp is a "claimed at the crank" figure, not a real at the tyre number.
Looks are a personal thing, pipe looks like a farmer welded the can on in his yard.

I had a few mates with older Buells.
Pretty sure at one time they held a record for factory recalls on one models.

$24k buys a real weapon with proven race history that I find more tempting.

I would like to see him and his New Delhi-based Hero MotoCorp partners do well,
if only to put two fingers up to Harley for the dirty shit way they treated him.

I like the no-bullshit styling. 185hp at the crank is still up there unless the figures are fudged. Yeah i hope he does well too. hopefully the bikes will evolve unhindered by bullshit HD now. It will be interesting to see what they can do on the race track.

thats the old buell 1125 without the stupid air scoops, not the new ebr - i like it more than the new one, though.
For about the cost of the new one, i'd prefer the ktm1290.

KTM ..............mmmmmmmmmmmmmm......pass the tissues please.

The Buell looks like its taken styling hints off its new "partners" it needs to look as good as they claim it goes when it's priced up in the $20ks. Lots of candy in that price range, and seriously if you have $20k to spend on a bike, you have $25 or $30k, price becomes less important. If it was prices at $15k, it'd be creating a whole lot more interest.

Yeah, all good points. I knew there must be reasons for the lack of interest. As far as im concerned though, its the only naked hyper bike on the market atm that doesnt look stupid. Im sick of the low headlight, bum in the air shit, and all the plasticky dangles and stickers that everything else has.

Not really a fan of twins.
I love a smooth and screaming IL4.
You want torque and grunt? Get a bigger IL4.

If I had to own a twin I'd be having a 1290 Superduke waaaay above a Buell and a few others.

Theres the $60k Carbon version in my mates shop. Looks real flash in the flesh.
It had 185 standard at the rear tyre, and the fueling was WAY off. They're waiting for a Bazzaz to land,so they can do some tuning.
