Lions Road TT 4th & 5th October

Well Boys and Girls, it looks like the TT is on. A bit of info is available on the Kyogle Council's website. Mark, Joe and I are going. We're staying Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at the Commercial Hotel in Kyogle. Anyone interested?

We were there on Friday (even at the Commercial Hotel for lunch - the Sexchange Hotel looked dodgy). That place will book out pretty quick yea? (Commercial, not Sexchange).

A ride down a 4th rate road to a meet that's heavily promoted to the cruiser / Harley crowd.
Piss poor access to Lions road in the event of an "off" and questionable if your insured there,
as its a non-timed / non-competitive run where is the "TT" part ?
The guys I spoke to mentioned a "Daytona" style meet or bike festival.

Qld really does need some good events but I see little appeal in this personally.
The old Gold Coast show was bad enough.

There are much better roads around here and without all the wanna-be hero's
and lame cruisers getting in the way.

Despite this weekend not turning out as we hoped Joe, Mark and I are still going for a look. Friday night there will be beers at my place at Byron Bay with plenty of room to crash. All welcome. Saturday we plan on dropping our gear at Joe's place at Nimbin, heading to Kyogle for the day, then back to Joe's for the night. You will need a sleeping bag.
