Hello All

New member from Melbourne

Bought myself a little GSF250V a few months ago - couldn't resist it.

6006
One of the JAP Imports in great condition but needs a bit of love.

I was originally going to clean it up and ride it as is but then I found the "custom builders" sites and decided that this is for me...

Not looking for anything too drastic...

So I have started to strip it back...

First things I want to do is remove the bulky plastic at the rear
I also want to fit some pod filters as I rekon these are the Bees Knees..
Polish all the parts, Paint the tank, new tyres, brakes, fluids clutch etc.

Does any one know what Pod filters fit these bikes?

The carb is slightly oval and measures 52mmx57mm approx.

Hoping to be a regular on here and post some progress

Cheers

Welcome to ASF mate. That's a big name you're using there! Most people use K&N pods http://knfilters.com.au/ I myself am using these http://ramair-filters.co.uk/motorcycle on my build just cause they look good and have a good rep back in the UK

Same shape as most GSXR carbs, so you'll be sorted with K&Ns. But, saying that, I just did a search and came up with nothing: http://www.knfilters.com/search/appsearch.aspx?type=ps&year=ALL+or+Unknown+Year&make=SUZUKI&model=GSF250+Bandit&engine=250

Give them a call.

Thanks Simon / Gix

I checked out the Ramair - Looks like another good option.

Do you also have a GSF250V? The Carb intake is slightly Oval (52x57mm approx) Does the Ramair rubber "expand" if that makes sense? So I could purchase the 55mm ones..

PS: I also ride a GSX1400 as my regular road bike (Naturally :) )

The circumference ( cum hehe) of an oval 57x52 is 171.2mm
This would be Ø54.5mm for the same circumference (again ehehehehe)

Up to you if you get a Ø54mm or Ø55mm pod

You will be messing up your tuning by putting the pods on, make sure you do something about that.
