This is it gents but there is a proposed change of plans and this is whats suggested.

The venue (Start point) is looking at being changed to Tumut NSW for the following reasons.
1. It is a point closer to Sydney and Melb by a long way compared to Cooma.
2. There is access to a garage and tool (My place) and a motorcycle shop in town that open on Saturdays that we can have access too. (Sunday too if its a big enough problem)
3. Accomidation will be motel/ hotel suites with the pub next door. (I know the owner of the hotel and will talk to him about group rates that will be posted tomorrow.
4. The pub has a rider friendly owner that will accommodate our drinking.
5. My joint is a 10min walk from the pub/hotel meaning any bikes that suffer problems can be stored at my place without charge.
6. Tumut is 29km from Gundagai on the Hume hwy.

Dates will be the weekend after the Snowy ride which means the 8th from memory.

Everyone knows the run so that can stay the same it just means it'll be run in a reverse direction.

It's kinda quiet in here.

So far it's Trav, glitzy, me and weasel, and Dan is staying somewhere in Hornsby (it's close to his house) and is riding the old road a few times (cos it's close to his house).
Any one else?

I considered riding past the old road and staying in Gosford to turn around and ride the old road but decided not to.

Leaving from Tumut also ads about 100ks to the loop on Sat.

Are there any good roads to Tumut or is it a drone down the Doom?

Is there even a pie shop at Tumut?

I'd like to come but I'm only a maybe.

the road to tumut (Snowy Mountains Hwy if I remeber right?) is pretty good but its more sweeping bends rather then lots of tight turns, I wouldn't be phased to see it up there but on another note why change something thats worked for so many years already :confused:
yes I am biased because I live in Cooma :p

So far it's me, gitzy and erno and weasel, and some maybes.
Hard to get preferential treatment in cooma around the time of the cooma drags for one or 2 rooms worth of people.
And not really much to organises either.
For me, NFR is doing a lap around the dam, Tumut or Cooma makes no difference.
If it's only a few of us, let's book our own rooms in Tumut, and then we can have a BBQ and beers in weasels backyard, and stumble off to the motel 50m from weasels house, then go for a ride in the morning, rinse and repeat.

Everyone else can ring the Tumut Motor Inn
Singles are $95 a night
Doubles are $110 a night.

Call and tell them your with Aussie Streetfighters.
Bikes can be parked at the Inn or locked in my garage.
Sal will run shuttle to the Inn for those who are knackered at my place.

Sorry i couldn't get cheaper but the joint isnt horrible and the place down the road from me is booked out for an old farts convention.

My Vfr has a leaking rad ( not sure where it's coming from) and I don't know why. I took off the nomex rad guard and it has random sprays of coolant on the rad.
So I've been tinkering with the MT09 - led Indicators and shit, modded the seat to make it flatter and more mortard like, new air filter, sintered pads and hopefully with a new akra full system (and ecu reflash) if it gets here on time. I did 4 years of tax returns and it seems to have worked out well.

Who's actually in?

I had the MT09 reflashed yesterday, and it feels like an extra 20HP. It's not, but it feels awesome with the akra, new air filter, and fancy pants flash.

Since i was riding down all by meself this year, i went inland. Windsor to lithgow via bells line, then down to oberon, then Goulburn, then bored myself on the Hume to make up time to gundagai, then in to Tumut. A couple of pics from the way down.

Then we went out on Saturday, which lasted about 35 seconds because Jules' clutch cable broke. Back into town, cable out, off to the bike shop to wait for the call to say it was fixed, which came at 5pm.
We had a fry up instead of a ride, and drank, and talked shit.

We went for a quick ride up towards wee jasper (i think?) on Sunday morning, no cars, a shitload of bugs that sounded like riding through rain when they hit your visor. Nice little time trial. Then load up and head home.
Jules, Sarah and I went up the Hume, they turned off at Yass to go and see fancy pants, I stopped at goulburn.
Usually more people, and less bugs.

but the up side is been spending some time and money on the TLS so when some more goodies arrive ill update ,but for now the turbos are on hold for a few months at least , as ive got to set my self up in a new house .

Finally made it home. 12 days on the road and over 5000kms. Man what a trip, and i'm quite glad that all the issues I had seemed to happen whilst at Weasel's place with tools handy.

I'll post up another thread with details of my trip.

Hey Weasel, bike's running better but not many places to find 91 on the way up. The new plugs made a difference on the fuel economy but i really need to buy a tacho so we see how hard she can flog it to clear it out.
