www.extremecreations.com.au

he'll probably want to put a turbo on it at the same time, though.

There's places in Septopia that will sell you the parts or a bolt in kit-

Here let me search eGay for you.........

They'e Busa bits, but contact them and go from there.

NB- by the time you buy the parts plus chains/spacers etc plus shipping/gst blah blah, you could be about $6k in before labour costs.

Brad is the king of those wide tyre conversions. He's a stockist for Roaring Toyz. It ain't going to be cheap however you do it mate, but as far as kits go, contact Brad Wiseman: www.bikecraft.net.au (http://www.bikecraft.net.au)

Next question is can you fit a traditional mount swingarm to the CB1000R? its got the stock single sided one at the moment.

I think the cb1000r swinger runs it's pivot through part of the engine, so that might cause some issues with a swing arm conversion.

Situations like that though are where it's much better to pay someone to do it the custom way (Ben at extreme creations being the prefered option here I reckon)

If you had something that a wide tyre conversion was common on like a busa or zx14 or something a kit would be the winner for cost and ease hands down.

Not had one in bits but I can't see why not, although there are Busa's about running wheel tyre combo's
that big on single sided arms.

Another issue is the chain run.
It was popular a while back to run two chains with a step out sprocket just outside the frame.
Now I see more bikes doing OSD's (outside drives) and running a single chain outside the frame.
This works better but you need good support for the front sprocket's gearbox output shaft.

Thanks everyone for the help, its time for me to put in a bit more research.... May be a Honda cb1000r up for sale to fund a busa...

What you need to remember with many of the 330 type kits is that they come from the US.
The yanks love sports bikes and cruisers but have never really taken to most of the nakeds.
The GSX1400 was never sold there and the 08 B-Kings were sat in showrooms years later gathering dust.
They have a limited interest in many of the naked bikes compared to what they think is cool.

I could do it with a drag style offset plate but
If the pivet is inline with the output shaft it wouldn't be worth it
I'd use a kosman offset cromo drag arm, wouldn't be that hard but
if you think it would cost less than 6+k your dreaming
Question would I want to..... Not any time soon

2nd hand kits to come on the market if you watch the US sites.

What's more important?

Having the CB1000R or having a fat tyre bike ?
If your serious about a Busa there a heaps of guys running fat tyre ones on the US Busa forums,
just don't mention guns, wars or fat people.... they get quite upset.
