Long story short needed to cut a few thousand slotted holes that my press couldn't do, so said to boss whose a top dude "can't cut these with oxy that'll suck mass balls" a few days later got this....

fun little gadget after using the oxy for years.

http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/q786/gitzyfighter/Various/Welding/20140715_115241_zps3fe19aa1.jpg (http://s1359.photobucket.com/user/gitzyfighter/media/Various/Welding/20140715_115241_zps3fe19aa1.jpg.html)

Also I'm in my 3rd year now and my TIG skills weren't up to par I don't think with a total of a few hours experience and not wanting to fudge my tafe expectations I asked for a HF TIG Welder.
and voila.. on a side note we have ZERO need for a TIG in my workshop but we got one anyway so I'm chuffed with that, let the foreigners begin..

http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/q786/gitzyfighter/Various/Welding/20140715_140148_zpse530623e.jpg (http://s1359.photobucket.com/user/gitzyfighter/media/Various/Welding/20140715_140148_zpse530623e.jpg.html)

Had a guy come out from allweld today and give me a run down on some basics before leaving me to make my own mistakes..

The only bit of stainless I had laying about was some 100x100x10 Equal angle.. thought hey it'll do for a butt and some fillets, this is my first attempt ever at stainless I just set it on some settings the manual suggested, turned out to be a very flat butt and a very concave fillet, sooo neeeed a lot of practice..

http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/q786/gitzyfighter/Various/Welding/20140715_153143_zpsdedcb962.jpg (http://s1359.photobucket.com/user/gitzyfighter/media/Various/Welding/20140715_153143_zpsdedcb962.jpg.html)

http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/q786/gitzyfighter/Various/Welding/20140715_153212_zps29e20ce2.jpg (http://s1359.photobucket.com/user/gitzyfighter/media/Various/Welding/20140715_153212_zps29e20ce2.jpg.html)

Then for the Aluminium, same deal manual suggested settings. It was only an outside corner on 50x3 flat, I honestly thought it was going to be a lot harder but I found it the easier of the bunch compared to SS or MS.

Ignore the burred bottom edge I just cut it off with the grinder to run some beads, I only had a few pieces of alloy..

So anyway new toys new skills to work on much fun..

The overall trolley looks rather large compared to the wheels but they are 200 x 50ish they'll do the trick nicely.. used some 1/2 inch tube and thread bar to suit the axle diameter req for the wheel..

I was thinking that, If needed I will for sure I'll only need to unbolt the wheels and weld another tube on behind the wheels i really only put them where they are for now because I prob won't get to it again for a little while..

Lol cheers Lads..

started making the drawer today, should be great outside corner tig practice... I tried DC Pulse for the first time on my first edge, (only had time for one weld) Peak 150A background 35A and 150HZ (I kinda just guessed), it was bloody quick I'll tell you that much it felt like a mig for a little bit there.. I have plenty more to practice on fiddling with the settings..

Painted her up, he put on a staino gullwing toolbox for his fridges etc and a stone guard and some chunky rims and tyres, came up a treat, I've since compiled some parts so I can make one for myself ground up..

Thats come along well for 5 days mate, I'd still be moving stuff around to get to my dropsaw by day 5 haha.

I like the small touches like the grease nipples in the hinges. Those are the little things that make the difference after you've had it for a few years

Just kept it simple and clean. In the last week I've had a thousand other ideas and I'll prob make another one next year wouldn't mind one with offroad suspension that I can sleep in bit like this without the massive pricetag.

Im looking to build an offroad camper with independent coil suspension as well. Its one of those, 'one day I'll get around to it' jobs. Yours have given me a couple of ideas though. Great job!

Something I did late last year that I can show you.

2000hp Hub Dyno.
This car lifts the front wheels on a trans brake start :)
Sitting in the car on the trans brake waiting for the boost to get to 45PSI and then launch was fun.
And no I didn't drive and yes I had my feet well away for the tunnel haha
